hyderabad, Aug. 3: The metropolitan sessions judge court on Tuesday dismissed the revision petition of Satyam accused, Srisaialam, and upheld the order of the 21st additional chief metropolitan magistrate on process of trial.
The CBI special counsel, Mr K. Surender said: “The path for the process of trial is cleared. But they have asked for time till Friday to file an appeal in AP High Court. So the case is posted to Friday by the trial court.”
Srisailam was arguing that the preliminary examination has to be done after his discharge petition is heard.
Meanwhile, two other accused in the Satyam scam, auditors, T. Srinivas and Gopal Subrahmanyam filed discharge petitions in the court stating that they have no role in the case.

Hyderabad, Aug. 3: Unable to bear severe pain during her menstrual cycle, a B.Tech third-year student hanged herself at the college hostel in Pet Basheerabad on Tuesday.
Aslesha, a native of Rajahmundry, was a student of Mallareddy Engineering College. At around 11 am on Tuesday, when her room -mate was studying on the terrace, Aslesha locked herself in the room and hanged herself.
Students and staff alerted the police after they broke open the door and found her hanging. Her parents who live in Rajahmundry were informed about her death.
A suicide note purportedly written by her in Telugu, stated that she was ending her life as she could not bear the pain during her menstrual cycle and no one was responsible for her death.
A case of suspicious death was registered under Section 174 of the CrPC.

Hyderabad, Aug. 3: The Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme aggravated the differences between Mahbubnagar and Kurnool and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi successfully turned this into a regional issue. Water disputes among other districts are also snowballing into regional issues.
Nalgonda, Khammam and Krishna districts have been fighting for water from Nagarjuna Sagar and water release in these districts has been a nightmare for district collectors and irrigation officials. Farmers in Nalgonda object to the early release of water to Khammam and farmers in Krishna district always insist on an early release of water from the Nagarjuna Sagar canal.
Water disputes are mostly limited to the Krishna basin as the availability of water here has reduced drastically. But in the last rabi season, for the first time the Godavari basin also saw a sharp fall in water levels leading to water crisis and disputes between districts.

Hyderabad, Aug. 3: The body of an unidentified woman, packed in a large suitcase, was dumped at a bus stop at the No. 12 pillar of the PVNR expressway in Mehdipatnam, just 100 yards from the Humayun Nagar police station here on Tuesday afternoon.
Humayun Nagar police inspector, Mr P. Madhukar Swamy, said auto driver Mr Ismail Bin Sayeed alerted the police after he noticed the suitcase being abandoned by a woman and a man, who came in a white Tata Indica car. “The auto driver saw a woman open the back of the car and take out the suitcase with the help of the driver and leave it at the bus stop,” he said.
What is intriguing the police is that the body was left in a public place, just 100 yards from the police station, as it is not the normal modus operandi of ...
